Introduction.
Lulotte was built by Nautor ab Finland
in 1972 to the designs of Sparkman & Stephens, New York., number
14 of the sixteen Swan 55 Class of which eight were built as yawls
and the other eight were built as sloops with a reversed transome.
The yawls are slightly longer with the gracefull counter stern as
one can see in the photographs of Lulotte.

Her classic lines stand out in any anchorage, and she is continually
admired. These boats were designed to go fast and Hull number 1. Gandalf
of Wight has for some years now been sweeping the board in the European
Swan Regattas against all her more modern sisters and goes to prove
the old saying a fast boat will always be a fast boat.
