Built up by Romans, privateers and merchant adventurers, this key strategic port forms an unbroken thread back through the island's rich and turbulent past. In short, the capital of Guernsey is a living history book and well worth a visit.


	Sailing in unspoilt waters surrounded by breathtaking scenery makes this a cruising ground to remember.
How to get here. BY ROAD Take A30 to Truro. From Truro take A39 to Falmouth. As you approach Falmouth on A39 you will come to a roundabout with McDonalds directly in front of you. Turn left at this roundabout and Falmouth Marina can be found 200 metres on your left.

BY RAIL Intercity trains run direct into Cornwall from Birmingham, Bristol, the North and Scotland. Great Western trains run from London, Reading, Swindon and Bath. Train stations are located in Falmouth, Truro and Plymouth. National Rail enquiries: 08457 484950.
BY AIR South West Airlines operates a service from Gatwick to Newquay. They also fly to Plymouth from Scotland, Ireland, Jersey and Paris. RyanAir also fly from Stanstead to Newquay.
